September 2, 2012:
We served in the Scovill Bakery today from 12:30 to 5:00 pm today. We had 19 tours. There is a lot of people in town for the grape festival. They had a parade and other stuff today. The very last tour, a family came in and I gave the tour and then part of them left. Three women (one was a teenage girl) stayed and we started talking about the temple and what the Book of Mormon is and other things about the gospel. The oldest one said her brother is a Mormon and said she has a Book of Mormon but hasn't read it. The mother and the girl were kind of interested and it ended up that all 3 of them took a Book of Mormon. The oldest one just in case she couldn't find hers. They took visitor cards also. They said they were going to read it, so I guess it's in the Lord's hands from here on out. It was neat to have a missionary experience again. It's been a while since having one so evident. The oldest lady said she is Baptist and the other 2 said they are Catholic. The spirit was very strong and they seemed very familiar to me before they left, but that happens to me sometimes. I'm sure that we meet people that we new as spirit children before coming to Earth. Kind of made me homesick for our daughters and granddaughters though. I love them so much and pray that we can be together eternally. All of our family.
We really got broke back in last night and today. 2 shows last night, 8 am sacrament meeting, on site for 4 1/2 hrs. and a meeting tonight. Boy, am I tired. Ready for another break. Good thing tomorrow is our preparation day.
President Salmon came to the bakery and called me to be the assistant site leader at the Wilford Woodruff home. Interesting---he was baptized by Zera Pulsipher.
Better go say prayers and get to bed.
Goodnight world!!!!!
